Enjoy a unique and authentic experience away from the crowds as you linger in eight natural hot springs surrounded by majestic mountains and black beaches.

Hvammsvík Hot Springs sit right on the Atlantic Ocean, with water levels and temperatures of the natural pools fluctuating with the tides. Temperatures range from ocean temperatures (around 10°C/50°F) to 42°C/108°F.

When you visit Hvammsvík Hot Springs, you will feel both relaxed and invigorated. We promise you a unique experience in eight natural hot springs situated along the shoreline and merging with the ocean.

Area locals built Hvammsvík Hot Springs using rocks from the surroundings, in harmony with the nature and wildlife. An original barrack foundations built by Allied troops during World War II now houses the facilities.

Your admission includes unlimited access to all facilities.  Enjoy eight natural hot springs, the steam bath, and free use of the paddle boards (weather permitting). Jump into the ocean, go for a hike on the estate’s walking trails, or simply chill on the black beach. We recommend that you try the outdoor changing rooms like the locals where you shower under the open sky.

After a soak in the hot springs, you might enjoy some of the delicious, light dishes at Hvammsvík’s Stormur Bistro and Bar. Stormur’s soups, sandwiches, and cakes are made from nourishing ingredients inspired by the surroundings.
